Do me a favor . . . Ignore the horribly drawn Totodile! I tried different things with him, but he just wasn't clicking for me. I even went through Stuff of Legend like three times looking at references, but I just am not getting it. Just pretend Totodile isn't there or somethin' . . .

Anyway, Hazel makes her appearancne. This is the second fan requested character to appear. This is amjam's character, as forum visitors know. I knew her sleeves would be annoying when I designed them, and I was right. But I still went through with it so what I can I do? And I couldn't remember how long her hair was supposed to be. Oh well.

I'm sorry if the panel layout was confusing. Even as the person who wrote/drew this page, I would catch myself reading the wrong way. It still sorta makes sense even if you read the panels in the wrong order. Sorta.

If I were a better comic writer and would have thought of it sooner, I woulda put the first panel of this page as the last panel on the last page. It would have been more abrupt there, putting you more in Hillaree's shoes. If you're wondering why she reacted that way, just remember she was in mid-flashback when Hazel walked up. And she got right up there without being noticed too.

I did have trouble reading it in the right order at first, but it's nice having so many panels and speech bubbles and art on one page regardless, and it's not to hard to sort out if you get confused.

Lol. Nice Totodile. If you don't like drawing the front, just draw the profile. ;) That's what I usually did, before I got the hang of the front. But she looks cute. It's a she, right? The Totodile I mean. :D

Neko: I thought about doing that, but it didn't seem to fit this picture, for whatever reason. I even looked for references on Devaint Art. EVERYONE draws Totodile from the side. It was so annoying!

But yeah, he'll probably be from the side from now on. Now I've got the front shot out of my system.

I'm specialified. So, the *SPOILERHITMENKILLBLUTO* is a distinct possibility, right? I still have no word form the third party, and the deadline is coming up.

As for totodile, I think it looks like a Croagunk, minus the cheeks and the totodile markings. I think that the eyes are on the side of the head, kinda like a bird. Hence why you can't find a good frontal reference pic.

CB's right I should have mentioned that too. You need to put Totodile's eyes a little to the side of his head, kinda like a dinosaur. Just check out DA and look for pictures of dinosaurs, raptors or crocodiles. I think the eyes should be a little higher up on the shull too. Also, to emphasize the snout, start the mouth a little lower and make the corners of the mouth end higher. It'll make the mouth seem longer. Also make it a little broader. Finally, you should emphasize the cheeks a little more. Totodile is a croc, and croc's have big jawmuscles.

If you have some time, you could try to digitally edit your linework. Just select the eyes and drag them to a new spot. I do that all the time, the power of computers!

Hi, I've been reading your comics for a while now and they're really good. It's inspired me to make my own webcomic but..i don't know how :S

Do you just draw it and scan it in? or do you have to use some sort of internet site thing, if so, could i have the link to the one you use or anyone else uses? please :)


Anyway, I really like this comic, this page is very funny and i cant really give any bad comments on it, apart from totodile, but i won't give you the greef, because i cant draw totodile if my life depended on it!!

. . . It's kinda sad you talk about dinosaurs though. I used to draw dinosaurs all the time. (Perhaps incorrectly, but I did.) I always spot a little pit of dinosaur seeping into Spyro.

I draw it on paper, ink it with a pen, scan it into the computer, and then edit it in Manga Studio. I bought the program off of Amazon, but it can also be downloaded . . . from a site I can't remember. It's a little pricey though.

Heh, yeah, I know the Totodile sucks. I just gave up on him. Glad the rest of it is at least okay. Thanks for the comment!

kingsamurai: No. No such thing. The only glitches on those games that work are the glitchy Safari, Mew (Y), and Missingno/M. And no, Pikablu was never real either. You've probably seen a lot of Mewtwo-based fan characters named "Mewthree" before, though. :)

hikari-chan: YES! Totodile was my first starter >u> as fun as every starter is, I loved Johto the most. In fact, I love the Johto games the most. no, I didn't give Hazel Pokémon I loved or had trained! of course not!

Thanks again for uh, letting Hazel appear Vye! :3 The idea of Hilaree x Hazel is a little.... odd... o_0 I prefer Hilaree and Evur, although I really don't like pairing them up. I just like Mr. Evur <3
