Behold my amazing water effects. Yeah, Marill jumping out of the water sucks. But what else can you expect from me?

This page has a lot of white space, even with the tones. There probably should have been more actual backgrounds. I don't know how I feel about Marill's grayscale. It might be smidge dark. I might change it. Just a head's up. Also don't like how I did Marill from the side . . . but the first picture is okay. Passable at least.

Just as a quick note, that second panel has been the first time I've liked how Kuri looked. Particularly her hair. I like her on the next page too, which we'll see soon.

This was originally going to be something like three pages, but I didn't feel like dragging it out, so I just squeezed it all into one page. I want to get along with the point of the chapter already.

Overall, this page is just "eh." So that's enough about that. Visit the forums!

Hmm, well, it depends how long she spent there and, since she's blind, it would be harder since, like most animals, they also use body language to communicate.

Mm, maybe to some extent. It'd be more like she can sense their prescence and emotion.

It's worth mentioning that she didn't really spend that much time around Pokemon other than her own. (She does have Pokemon but we haven't seen them yet.) Like she said, the Pokemon there don't like humans. They leave her alone.

Oranges_and_Pears: She can't understand Pokemon speech really. Like I said, she can kind of sense their emotions so she would be able to make educated guesses at what they're saying. But she can't directly understand them. Make sense?

Eloweasel: Yes, you should! Then you can rate! (Hint, hint!)

I actually let guests rate for a while, but there were a lot of low ratings for no clear or explained reason. So I disabled it.

Anyway, yeah, she did get registered. It was in the 40's or 50's that it happened. She picked up her license in Chapter 5. 110-120 Or so.

Good point about the body language. It would be a little hard for her to figure that out.

Vye, I've been told that I can be very blunt; I don't like to sugar coat anything. So I'm just going to go right out and say... THAT WATER WAS THE FREAKIN' WORST WATER I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!! Although I'm not one to talk seeing as my water's a hundred time worse than yours. I'm sorry for any feelings that I've hurt. But besides the water, this was a really good page!

Yeah, I know the water sucks. I drew it in like two seconds and didn't look back. I didn't have the energy or will power to try to make it look decent so I just left it. That's my story/excuse.

But yeah, I don't mind you being blunt like that. At least I don't think so. Glad you like the rest of the page!

All insanity aside, I originally thought that the Zubat was looking for Hillaree(did I spell that right? I always forget) as Kuri's spy, and she was ebil or something.

But nah, Zubat isn't Kuri's spy. Zubat wouldn't make a very good spy anyway, seeing as it doesn't have any eyes itself. You know, blind leading the blind and what not.

That might just be my opinion. Anyways, Kuri doesn't have any spies out there.

The blind leading the blind? I dunno; Zubat and Kuri make up for their lack of one sense by using their others to a more accurate degree, so Zubat would make a great spy, or a pokemon for Kuri. That or an abra(No, I'm not making you try to steal Ace's ideas).

I'm back! ... sort of I have to say, missing pages with a new character? Gollygosh Amjam.
But anyway, I agree about the water, although I don't think it's /that/ bad. It definitely could've had more effort put into it, though. I think Marill looks adorable, and I like Kuri on this page.
So far, though, I have to say I'm the only person who isn't infatuated with her. Nothing personal. I think. But I don't like her all that much. Maybe once we get to know her, I'll be able to make a more solid assertion of that, but for now I guess I just don't see anything special or interesting about her (despite all the mysteriousness and the fact that she's a human.)
Well, there's my two cents. Can I have some penny candy? I've got more painkillers in my system than brain cells right now, so I'll stop typing before I get dizzy. Glad to be back, and as always I can't wait for a new page! :D

I give up on the Zubat thing. I don't think Zubat would make a good spy, simple as that. And it really doesn't matter whether or not I'm right because Zubat isn't a spy.

But you're right. Zubat just wouldn't be able to communicate effectively.
