What could have been . . . I could have dragged this dream out another page or two if I wanted, but at this point, it's not overly important. (This chapter is called "Our Similarities" and is supposed to focus on the similarities between Hillaree and Charmander, but we haven't gotten there yet!) So, I cut the dream off a little bit.

Hillaree is apparently easy to persuade . . . well, not really. It really is a good point and Hillaree trusts him.

Plus, what fun would it be to have Hillaree miserable throughout her journey . . .

Kinda a shaky transition between dream and reality. Hope it's okay . . . I need to experiment with it a little, I think.

She's going to give a little explanation about this dream here in a few pages. You won't know who she's talking to still, but it should help clear things up a little.

Oh, and just to point it out 'cause it can be hard to tell from the last page, Hillaree only was wearing that fingerless glove on one hand. Just feel like pointing it out.

Char! Char! Wow, I can't wait to see what's going on! All the suspense is making me excited!

I liked when she glanced over. "Huh? Who?" I am not entirely sure why, but I really liked that panel and the dialogue in this page.

Why isn't she hearing Charmander's voice as words? Is it because it's an alarmed shout more than something he's saying, or is that just the way you chose to put it there?

sweet! hey Vye, have you heard the new names for the diamond and pearl starter pokemon? they're names are Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. I liked the japanese names better. What do you think?

That is so weird. 0_0 I was just saying something about that, on my comic (Haha, intercommenting is fun)... I am still calling Gokazaru Gokazaru, no matter what the game says. I love Monkey King too much. >w>
But I'm generally OK with the English names; it's like dubs. After all, the names in Japan probably sound pretty dumb to the Japanese players who know what the words are made up from. "Hiokazaru" is from small, fire, and monkey, just like "Chimchar" is from monkey and fire. :/ I'd like to think the Japanese want our names as badly as we want theirs, whether it's true or not.

Amjam, Part 1: Yay, another reader hooked! Good to know, good to know. As to why it says "Char!" instead of "No!", (that's what he's saying,) it's because when Hillaree hears it, she still hears "Char" but is able to understand that it means "No." Sometimes I'll leave it in Pokémon language because of that, just so you hear what Hillaree hears. And in this case, I thought if I did translate it, you wouldn't be able to tell who it was. At least not until tomorrow. So I left it "Char" just not to confuse anyone.

iWish: Thanks! Yup, I have heard the names. (I am always checking Serebii.net for the latest info. I've been checking it a lot lately trying to plan out my first team for Diamond when it comes out. I'm prepared like that . . .) I don't mind the English names. The only one I don't like is Piplup. What the heck is up with that? That one's Japanese name was definitely better. The others I like.

Amjam, Part 2: Yeah, that kinda goes along with my thoughts. Kinda. I also don't mind the English names just for the plain fact that their English. I love Japanese culture and I wanna learn the language and all . . . but I like to be able to pronounce stuff properly.
