Your typical story about a girl from our world pulled into the Pokémon world . . . or is it?

Hillaree, known by her friends as the "Mewtwo Queen," is suddenly taken to a world where Pokémon are real. She is told she will be returned home when she is ready. What could that mean? Well, since she's going to be there a while, she might as well catch some Pokémon!

A Pokémon Fan Comic written and drawn by Vye Brante. Coloring jobs beginning with Chapter 5 done by xxHANIxx. The art gets better as you go, trust me.

Experimenting . . . Please excuse the awkwardness of the pages until I figure out how exactly how I want to do them. I'll be experimenting with things like lines, the word bubbles, sound effects, text, the grayscale, the panels, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm doing this comic for practice, afterall, so I'm going to experiment a lot to see what works.

About the page though, I didn't mean to make Shellee look so uninterested in what's going on. She's just busy with trading cards and she knows her sister wins so . . . yeah. But yes, that's the main character's sister in the first panel. Back when I started writing this story, her name was Haily, but I changed it. I already have people asking if I know Hilary Duff and didn't want to give them another excuse by creating a Hillaree and Haily pair. So I named her after a friend instead. (Right, Shell?)

Oh yeah, and that thing on the armrest is supposed to be his Game Boy Advance. They're battling wirlessly.

Experimenting . . . Version 2 This is Page 3, redone in Manga Studio. Even in Manga Studio, I was experimenting with it. I figured out how to do the focus lines, (seen in the last panel,) but not sure if I over used them, or under used them. You can also see a couple tones in there.

Unlike Pages 1 and 2, this one did come out looking different, not just cleaner. (It does look cleaner and better too though.) For so me reason, when I did it in Paint, it got distorted a little. So the second version looks a lot better and the tones added a bit more detail. I like this version much better.

Phht, I remember when I got accused of cheating for using my little mew, when in fact I naturally caught and trained it in red version. >> No one believes me until I show them how to catch it without gameshark.
