Short version above, details below. So here we are in 2015. 2014 has been the worst year for Just Gotta by far as no pages were uploaded to it or to its side comics. Any updates were just me putting up fillers to let you know I was still here. All my plans to start updating again fell through. A trend that has thus far continued for reasons I'm about to explain.

There have been several reason updates have died like this. Some of them more valid reasons than others. I won't deny a big part is just that I've been so addicted to the sixth gen and shiny hunting. But it's time for me to get back into the habit of working again so that's what I intended to do.

I was actually planning on getting Just Gotta up and running again on the 18th of this month as it's Just Gotta's 8th anniversary. Eight years, ugh! Why do you people put up with me? Anyway, that was the plan. I have some pages in the works to try and create a buffer so I don't have to constantly work myself. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked but progress was made.

Unfortunately though, I've done something to hurt my back. This makes working at computers or desks for extended periods quite difficult. It's only been getting worse as my job requires me to sit at a desk for eight hours. So for the time being I need to give it what rest I can while I'm at home which means I won't be in a position to work much on comics. I'm hoping it won't hold me up for more than a week but depends on how it goes, I guess. But point is as much as I want to work on comics, I just can't. Or at least shouldn't. It's just been getting worse and worse the last few days so I just need to take it easy it seems.

So yeah, we won't be seeing anything this month as I had hopes. I'm just giving myself another month to try and get things together. And while thinking about it a bit, I wondered if there were other ways I could get back on track too.

I love writing and making comics. No denying. So much so that I just keep adding more even though I should know better! I have no intention to stop any of them. Just Mewtwo hasn't updated in ages and I'd like to get that going again. Same with Gotta Past. I considered changing their formats to do something like just the line art and text bubbles with no color or grayscale, or even just text versions with or without art. But then I got to thinking. I wonder if I could get a team together to help me out with these?

I'm too stubborn to give up the writing and the artwork, but I am interested in seeing if I could track down help with the editing process. It would include coloring or grayscaling and possibly backgrounds or texting if we can swing it. I'd still do some pages myself so anyone interested wouldn't even have to do it all the time. I'd hope to get a few people so we can all rotate.

But I don't know that I'd be able to find anyone with the time or ability to do it, so I'm not officially putting the call out yet. But let me know if you think you'd be interested and what you'd be able to do. I may even pay my team in some form or another. I couldn't do a lot and it'd probably come in the form of something like donating for a comic of your own or a Deviant Art subscription. I dunno yet, it all just kinda depends. But I would do that in the understanding that you'd be able to work reliably so don't volunteer unless you think you can devote your time to it when you're needed. I'd say expect at least one page a week but it all just kinda depends.

So yeah. That's where we are right now. And yeah, I might do something for my birthday. I have a few shinies I can get rid of or I might do a livestream or something. I don't know. Just might be a good way to reconnect with you guys or something.

Thank you guys so much for sticking with me and I hope you will stick around! More pages are coming, I promise!

*Shrugs* I don't know how to make it any clearer than I already did in my details. Add color, backgrounds, and possibly other things to my line art?

I do have some time to do some of that, so if you need it I'd be happy to. So just let me know I guess :)

Editing 2 Orite, well I can do base colouring and do some backgrounds without a problem, although I use Manga Studio's for my own arts and comics. Though, I don't know if my stuff would be good enough for you :x

Editing What program do you generally use for editing your work?

I use the Adobe CS5 and could use a regularly timed excuse to photoshop / illustrate(or? lack of jargonified verbiage!)
It would be good for me to schedule such things before I get stuck into a lazy school schedule again. (My 'breaks' between semesters are always more busy than my semesters these days, darn personal projects being more complex than my programming assignments!)
