Here we have some Character Bios of the current main characters of “Just Gotta.” Be warned that there are some spoilers if you haven't read up through the most current page. Characters submitted by fans will list their submitter. Pokémon without an official trainer or partner will be on the page by themselves. Question mark boxes in the team pages are reserving places for either future captures or Pokémon that haven't been seen yet.



Hillaree Rawson
Age: 14
Birthday: August 7 (This was estimated as no one knows for sure when she was born.)
Description: Hillaree is our main character. She was pulled into the Pokémon World by someone unseen, who turned out to be a Celebi. Celebi told her she would be returned home when she was ready, but it was not clear what was meant by that. In order to find out more, Hillaree decided to go on a journey with her new Charmander friend, Spyro.

Hillaree was adopted by Nick and June Rawson after she was left at an orphanage when she was three months old. No one knows who left her or who her real parents are. When she was younger, there were only a few people she trusted. Most of the people she encountered did not accept her and treated her very badly. This has left her a little bitter and untrusting of new people she meets. (Please visit "Gotta Past" for more details.)

Hillaree is a very intelligent. She was even skipped ahead in school two years ago and is currently a junior in high school. She seems to show a different personality depending on what she’s doing. Her friends notice that even a battle in a Pokémon video game makes her act ruthless and unrelenting. Normally though, she is easy to get along with. Hillaree has special abilities and powers, some of which are centered around Pokémon. She was born with the Power of Light. The only other one with that power is Ven who she has yet to meet.

Pr. Elrich Evur
Age: 23
Birthday: January 1
Description: Pr. Evur used to be a Pokémon Trainer. He started his journey in Johto and eventually went to other regions as well. When he was sixteen, he returned to Johto for the Johto League Championship where he battled his way into the final round. However, for unknown reasons, Pr. Evur was disqualified and the match went to his opponent.

At some point, he decided to give up being a trainer to study Pokémon. He went to college and graduated about eight months before meeting Hillaree. He wants to study the best ways to heal a Pokémon and also restore their energy after they’ve been battling, something he became interested in while being a trainer. Pr. Evur cares deeply about Pokémon and has a particularly close bond with his first Pokémon, Gardevoir. He lives alone with his Pokémon who help him with his studies.

Kuri
Age: 26
Birthday: October 14
Description: Not much is known currently about Kuri's past. Although she is now blind, it seems at one point she was able to see normally. The vision part of her brain still works, but her eyes do not. This has something to with the scar she hides under her blindfold, but nothing has yet been explained.

She has been living in Viridian Forest for some time now and is even able to navigate through the forest without the aid of her Meditite. She does not seem to trust others, but will help trainers she meets get through the forest. She has special senses that help her function without her eyesight. This enabled her to sense Mewthree hiding within Hillaree. Kuri seeks to exorcise Mewthree from Hillaree's body, but it is not yet clear why she feels she must do so.

Giovanni
Age: 44
Birthday: November 20
Description: Giovanni is the head of Team Rocket. He is a mysterious figure who is very intelligent and calcuating, but is also very charismatic. Not much is known about him, or his motives. He funded the creation of 30 Aerodactyl, and recently sent them to attack Viridian City. He anticipated their capture and hasn't done anything to prevent it, even seemed pleased that it happened. Robin
Age: 12
Birthday: Unknown

Description: Robin comes from Petalburg City in Hoenn, but decided to begin his journey in Kanto. He was able to get a Squirtle for his strarting Pokémon. He is currently traveling around Kanto for Gym Badges.

Robin was the first Pokémon Trainer Hillaree encountered. He was then also the first trainer Hillaree battled. Although the battle ended with Hillaree as the victor, Robin isn't bitter and considers Hillaree a friend, much to Hillaree's surprise. He always tries to help his friends, and because of this he stayed behind in Viridian City instead of evacuating because he could see Hillaree needed help.

Hazel Emerson
Age: 15
Birthday: Unknown

Description: Hazel, as she will be more than happy to tell you, was born in Ecruteak City in Johto. Her parents moved her family to Pewter City in Kanto when she was young, but Hazel still loves Johto and longs to return. Seven years ago, she was watching the Johto League Championships when Pr. Evur was competing. She was instantly impressed with his abilities, and instantly angered when he was disqualified. This event lead Hazel to become Pr. Evur's #1 fan. She started up a fan club which includes four other members at this time.

Hazel began her journey a little later than most trainers, just shortly before the story began. She encountered Hillaree in Viridian Forest, and soon after assumed the two of them to be good friends. Hazel likes meeting new people more than battling. Hazel knows a lot about Pokémon, and is able to strategize quite well, even though she prefers not to fight.

Kas
Age: 15
Birthday: December 28th

Description: Kas comes from Goldenrod City in Johto. He is on a journey to find a Celebi for unknown reasons. He spotted Celebi in Viridian City and stayed to find him, even though the city was being attacked by Aerodactyl. He only has one Pokémon, Chikorita, and an egg. He makes up for this by battling in creative ways. He is quite intelligent and knowledgable about Pokémon. He recently teamed up with Ryan to help him find his Poliwag. He was quite relieved when the Aerodactyl left the city without any more trouble.

Ryan
Age: 13
Birthday: Unknown

Description: Ryan's home town is Lavender Town in Kanto. He happened upon a Cyndaquil one day in Viridian Forest. It was injured and he rescued it. The two became friends and eventually left on a Pokémon Journey.

Ryan and his Pokémon are currently traveling around for badges. He stopped by in Viridian City just before the Aerodactyl attack started. His Poliwag, Rain, ran off and he stayed in the city looking for it. He was reunited with Rain and was glad to find that she was unhurt, but was a little upset she was just playing a prank on him.

Celebi
Description: Celebi is the one that brought Hillaree to the Pokémon world. His motives are not clear but he seems to think it was the only thing he could do. Celebi seems to have good intentions, but also is rattled with guilt over what he had to do. He has been checking on Hillaree's safety and progress from time to time.

Celebi and Mewthree used to be partners of a numan named Reka. Celebi is reluctant to talk about her nowadays, stating that it's all over and just wants to concentrate on protecting Hillaree. He also is working with a group of Legendary Pokémon, having recently been sent with a message from Palkia. Deoxys says Celebi shouldn't trust the Legendaries because of what happened to Reka, but Celebi doesn't believe they were involved.


Mewthree
Description: Mewthree is actually a Mewtwo with black fur, given the name Mewthree. He somehow lost his body some time ago, and was once a partner to Reka, but not much else about his past is known. He has spent the last fourteen years inside Hillaree's subconscious. He manipulated Hillaree's memories so she could never remember what he looked like, although it seemed that Hillaree still had some knowledge of him. When she first saw a picture of a Mewtwo, she thought that he seemed familiar although it should have been a different color. (Black, actually.)

Mewthree is very protective of Hillaree and seems to know more than he's telling. He knows that Celebi was the one that brought Hillaree to the Pokémon world, but hasn't told her this. Mewthree is a lot like Hillaree, intelligent and often sarcastic. He seems to be a capable Psychic, despite not having a body. He was able to knock Kuri unconcsious with little effort, and is able to comminucate to others, like Celebi, without Hillaree hearing. Why he has been staying in Hillaree's body though is unclear.


Arceus
Description: Arceus reigns over all Pokémon and leads the other Legendaries. He, Palkia, and Dialga, are responsible for three different worlds, one of them being the world where Hillaree grew up and another being the world she is in now. He is concerned about the growing imbalance, but up until recently didn't think they needed to take an active role in trying to resolve it. The numans invading one of their worlds has changed his mind. Arceus feels guilty now that he and the others didn't do all the could, and that motivates him to try to prevent anything else from going wrong.

Arceus is caring, but strict. He bears heavy responsibilities and a lot of guilt, but always tries to stay positive. He is aware that Hillaree doesn't like him, and it annoys him. He tries to ignore it though.


Dialga
Description: Dialga, along with Palkia and their leader, Arceus, is responsible for three different dimensions. His main responsibility is over Time. Normally he can see into the future to help avoid possible problems with the flow of Time, but the growing imbalance has made seeing into the future mostly impossible. This makes it hard for him. It also has made some of the other legendaries lose faith in relying on him, and as such, they pay little attention to his advice. This frustrates him, so nowadays, Dialga works on his own, doing whatever he thinks will help best.

Dialga knew Reka and was friends with her, Mewthree, and Celebi. He also worries about Hillaree but trusts that Mewthree is taking good care of her. Recently, he has been interacting with Hillaree's quest by putting those he believes will best help her along her path. Dialga has so far managed to get Hillaree together with Spyro, and has mentioned he is working on helping her meet others.

Dialga is cheerful and normally positive. He prefers to let problems fix themselves instead of doing something himself, but knows when he needs to intervene. He is very confident in himself, even though his ability to see into the future has been impaired.


Palkia
Description: Palkia is mostly responsible for the status of Space over three different dimensions. He works along side Dialga and under Arceus's leadership. The imbalance and Dialga's inability to see the future have him very worried where it is mostly Space which the imbalance will effect. He isn't able to do anything himself about the imbalance, however, so this makes him feel useless. He wants to take a more active role in what's going on around him, despite Dialga's insistance that they don't need to get involved. Because of this, Palkia, with Arceus's consent, sent Celebi with some sort of message.

Palkia is much more serious than Dialga. He can come off harsh and mean, but he just wants to do his job. He does consider both Dialga and Arceus friends and allies, even if at times he snaps at them. Palkia tends to do what he believes is right without taking feelings of others into consideration. He doesn't do this to be cruel. He just believes in always doing what is right.


Mesprit
Description: Mesprit recently appeared, having followed Celebi into Viridian City. Mesprit said he came to see his "partner," and then commented on how much Hillaree had grown, suggesting that he had seen her when she was younger. He is cooperating with other Legendary Pokémon like Dialga and Arceus, and insists that they had nothing to do with what happened to Reka years ago. Not much is known about him or his purpose. As the Being of Emotion, Mesprit can be very emotional. He will be calm and happy one minute, but will then can get depressed or angry the next. This makes him seem somewhat unstable, but he is harmless and very friendly.

Zen
Age: ???
Birthday: ???
Description: Zen found Hillaree in the Pokémon world some time ago, and observed that Celebi had left her there. After Hillaree had defeated some of Kuri's Pokémon, Zen took Kuri away, somehow transporting her to the top of a building very quickly. Kuri also noticed once he grabbed her arms, she couldn't move at all. Not much is yet known about him or his purpose, but he seems connected to Ven.

Zen rarely shows any kind of emotion. This makes it hard to judge his motives and thoughts. It is not yet clear whether his intentions are good or evil. He has two Pokémon partners, Banette and Metagross. Despite appearing to be uncaring, he seems to be close to both of them.

Ven
Age: ???
Birthday: ???
Description: Ven came to Viridian City to see why it had been so easy to get Zen to go there for him. He found him protecting Hillaree from Kuri, and seems curious about it. Ven was born with the Power of Light, just as Hillaree was. He refers to Hillaree as his "Other."

Not much about Ven's past is known. His partner is Deoxys. Deoxys says that the Legendaries betrayed Ven, while the Legendaries say that Ven turned on them. It is not clear which version is true. Ven does not seem quite as bitter as Deoxys, and is relatively carefree. He can be quite full of himself at times. Ven is also a little self centered, even to the point of not noticing others around him. He also appears to have a short attention span, depending on what's going on and how interested he is in it.

Shomaru
Age: 38
Birthday: March 3
Numan Element: Electricity
Description: As a general of the numan armies, Shomaru was sent along with Minshen, Lyn, and Azuko to conquer Hillaree's world. Shomaru though is actually quite gentle and doesn't seem that interested in the mission at all. In fact, he questions it, wondering why they were sent to that world. He knows to follow orders though, and so he is going through with the plan.

In the past, Shomaru knew the numan Reka, and seemed to care about her deeply. He blames himself for something that happened to her, but never apologized. Even though Reka has been gone for nearly fifteen years, he has recently been thinking about her and wonders why. This has been distracting him from his mission, but cannot help himself.

Minshen
Age: 39
Birthday: May 13
Numan Element: Water
Description: Minshen is second in command next to Shomaru. He is also Shomaru's close friend. Minshen is curious why they were sent to a world without Pokémon, he is more worried about Shomaru and why he has been so distracted lately. He would like the mission to succeed so that his wife, Lyn, and his friend, Shomaru, wouldn't have to fight anymore. Minshen admires Shomaru for his heart and strength. Minshen has also proven himself to be quite caring and powerful as well.

Lyn
Age: 35
Birthday: August 1
Numan Element: Fire
Descpription: Lyn is one of the four numans that was sent to Hillaree's home world to take it over. She thinks the mission is odd and wonders why they were sent to that world when Pokémon do not live there. Not much else is known about her. She seems caring and nice, and a bit vocal about what she thinks and feels. Lyn was married to Minshen almost ten years ago, and is very happy with him.

Azuko
Age: 41
Birthday: April 30
Numan Element: Air
Description: Azuko was sent along with three other numans to take over Hillaree's home world. Unlike the others, she is not concerned about why they were sent there. She is very task oriented, and just wants to get the mission done as smoothly as possible. She gets easily annoyed with Shomaru, especially lately as he has been feeling distracted. Azuko can have a short temper, and is much easier to get along with when she gets her way.

Absol
Description: Absol has been following Hillaree on her journey since day one. He doesn't know himself why he feels he must do so, but does it anyway. He believed that he had been following in secret, and was surprised to learn that Hillaree knew he had been there the whole time. Absol is quiet and serious, but gentle and caring. He is an able fighter, and doesn't hesitate to jump in when he is needed.


Abra
Description: After seeing Hillaree and her Pokémon in Viridian City, this Abra became quite curious about them and started following them around. He witnessed the battle between Hillaree and Kuri, and was impressed with Hillaree's abilities. Not much else is known about him. He seems intelligent and curious. Abra likes to observe others rather than interacting with them. He even tends to fall asleep in the middle of conversations after they stop interesting him.
